Noah Malek
Founding PartnerNoah has built his career across corporate development, private equity, and investment banking, with experience evaluating acquisitions, advising on transactions, and supporting portfolio companies. He is currently a Senior Analyst in Corporate Development at Canadian Tire Corporation, where he contributes to inorganic growth initiatives, including M&A, brand acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
Previously, Noah worked in private equity at First Avenue Investment Counsel, where he evaluated investment opportunities, supported transaction execution, and worked with portfolio companies on post-transaction value creation. Before that, he was an Investment Banking Analyst at CIBC World Markets in the Global Diversified Industries group, where he advised on M&A transactions and equity financings across healthcare, retail, consumer, and gaming sectors.
Noah earned an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University’s Lazaridis School of Business & Economics, graduating with distinction and a specialization in finance.
Jacob Tran
Jacob has built his career investing in and working with growing private companies across healthcare, food, and software. He is currently an Associate at Power Sustainable Lios, a food-focused private equity platform backed by Power Corporation of Canada, where he evaluates acquisition opportunities, develops investment analyses, and works with management teams on strategic growth initiatives.
Previously, Jacob worked in private equity at Persistence Capital Partners, a healthcare investment firm with approximately C$1.0 billion of assets under management, where he supported buyouts, tuck-in acquisitions, refinancings, and portfolio company value creation. He also worked in strategic finance at Homebase, a venture-backed software company, where he evaluated growth initiatives, built financial models, and supported commercial partnerships.
